I would really like to develop some domain names, make some online tools and so on… but finding good developers and programmers is a nightmare!

The puzzle get’s harder if you want something done doing with "domain names" as most developers do not understand how many of the domain process works or how zone files.

I have used GetAFreelancer.com and at first, I thought it would work, but then the developer just didn’t reply anymore.

The past two developers that I had worked with…. felt like I was working with a 2 year old and had to hold their hand evey step. As you explain what you would like, it seemed no matter what I did, they still didn’t get it. LOL Short of doing everything yourself and laying it out plain as day seemed to work the best.

Sometimes I just think that many more domain owners would develop domains if this development process wasn’t so hard to get rolling. I am also hoping that somebody steps up and provides a "domainer developer" service or if somebody can point me in the proper direction if one exists and I am just not aware of it. ;)

I will be doing some updates/upgrades to DotWeekly but have been having issues to get things done. Today my programmer will be doing somethings, so expect to see a couple small changes here.

On another note, sorry for the lack of posts on my end lately. Their are a couple reasons for this. One, the domain industry is slow and I do not want to bore you with posts that are not helpful. I continue each day as normal, so feel free to contact me with any questions but I have been running my brain to come up with new things, thinking outside the box! The second reason behind the lack of posts…. I am having a hard time seeing!!! It’s hard to type and be online not being able to see, so I hope my eye infection is about 60% cleared up and keeps getting better.

Eye’s are nothing to mess with, so I am doing everything the Dr has requested!

Shoot me an email, let me know the kinds of work you need done. WordPress related, PHP?

    Email sent ;)

Jamie, there are a handful out there, actually. I would recommend myself, but that really is not on. Besides, I am having trouble getting to my own domains let alone working on someone elses.

Jason asks a good question, what are you looking for? A designer, a programmer, both?

Drop me a PM on DNFORUM: Salient

We can exchange numbers and I will give you some alternate contacts who might be able to help you.

Thank you for the reply Stuart. I will drop you a PM at DNF. I am really interested in both.. Designer & Programmer as it seems each site idea I have, I need both. :)

Visit aeiou.com. This is one of Rick Latona’s companies. They did a good job developing two of my domains into minisites.

Thank you Lance! I was aware of AEIOU.com but am currently looking for a little more then content type sites. I would be interested to see the two sites that you had done by AEIOU.

I am not saying that this is the end-all, be all, but it is a very inexpensive solution to full-out development and a great alternative to parking.. I use domainembarking.com for my domains until I am ready to develop them further. The great thing is you use your own affiliate accounts, Adsense, Azoogle, adbrite, Clickbank, whatever, AND your site develops page rank. Most of my sites have a 2 or 3/10 page rank on Google. I also have made more money these sites than the ones I had parked with various companies.
My husband owns the top rated web development company in Kansas City and I can’t get any development work done on my sites!! So much for sleeping with the boss…

About this domainer developer service, isn’t it just a CMS you’re talking about?

It’s a pain at first, but once you get a grip of things freelance sites are awesome.
Just make sure you pick someone with lots of good reviews.

    Hope your eyes get better!

I agree that its not easy getting something nice developed. I used elance before and my experience was horrible. The developer took 1000s of dollars and used other people’s images on site. We ended up abandoning the project after few years and lost quite a bit if development fees. Elance just washed their hands by saying its not their problem that developer cheated us.

    Try guru.com
They are a no nonsense place to find good developers and you can see how much money they have made and you can really find a good deal if you are willing to out of the country.

    **Jamie Says**
Thank you for pointing it out, I will have a look.

I have come across this situation as well – you are right.

I have posted the job on both ScriptLance and GetAFreelancer.

Many of the so called developers bid for projects they do NOT know anything about.

Persistence is the key – it took me a while to find a person that backs it’s words in writing with action.

Jamie, Please check this new service out called MissPark. I think it could be just what you’re looking for. It’s a tool for domainers to develop their domains rapidly without any experience in programming. Saves you time and money.

I would be glad to hear your thoughts on it as there is always room for improvements. If you have any questions at all just send me an e-mail.
