Not a big fan of past GoDaddy.com commercials run on TV? Wish you had the chance to make your own GoDaddy commercial? Well here is your chance to submit one or at least vote on ones you like. I had mentioned a little bit about the GoDaddy.com video contest being offered at Go Daddy but since I wrote about it last…. Go Daddy has upped the prize package a great deal to include 100 Grand as the top prize! Not the candy bar, the bag full of money $100,000! $50K for second and $25K for third place to top it off! Before Go Daddy was offering up a laptop, video camera and those type of things, but cash will always be more inviting for most people IMO!

You can see the video contest page here at GoDaddy.com

Now that some time has passed since the contest started, there are also some user submitted commercials you can vote on and view right at Go Daddy. I admit that many are not all that great but several I thought were decent. The roller derby one I thought was good but still mainly focuses on domain names. On the video page, you can use the tab on the right and view "Highest Rated", which may be your best choice. "She can stay" was pretty funny as well! You have to watch the videos and vote on the main screen.

Go figure that "Sexy Shakespeare" would be the highest rated so far, but sadly it is about the same style ad as what they run now….

I think Go Daddy’s goal is to come up with a commercial that better helps explain what Go Daddy really offers, so customers better understand IMO. Most people are well aware of Go Daddy but just not sure what they offer. Once the message gets across to mainstream of all the tools Go Daddy offers, I think they will grab even more share than they already have.

Somebody needs to get the message across about Website Building, Website Hosting, Domain Name Auctions, Logo Design, Online Marketplace with an instant store, Email, SSL, Website Shopping Carts etc.

The contest ends April 23, 2010 with voting ending May 7, 2010. Even if you are not considering going for the cash prizes, checkout some of the user submitted videos and let me know what you think. Right now, most still hold the confusing message Go Daddy sends across now.

Here are some interesting expiring domain name auctions going on right now at GoDaddy as well. Sorry, feel lazy today and didn’t link any. Auction times are spaced out but listed ending first.
