Sedo is reporting a couple nice domain name sales for this week already. These are new sales than the most recently reported by most other domain related blogs. GolfCoursesGuide.com sold for $62,000 USD and because Sedo is reporting this as a "Domain Sale", I would big to differ that it is just a domain sale.

GolfCoursesGuide.com all by itself IMO is not a $62,00 domain name. Since the domain has over 5,800 indexed pages in Google already, some 40,000 + with Yahoo.. this was a developed site. The domain does rank on page 1 for the matching search term already as well. If the site was not included (it already resolves) it was likely purchased because of traffic/SERP’s/Links.

The whois is privacy protected and has been for several years. GolfCoursesGuide.org ranks well for the matching term and could be the potential buyer. I wanted to make sure people were aware that this is very likely more than just a domain sale.

Some other notable sales are:

B-Government.com $3,500 EUR (Hyphenated)

WhichIsBetter.com $5,000 USD (I own a lot of domains like this but rarely get this kind of offer)

CollegeOverview.com $20,000 USD

Mec.com $99,000 USD

BaconBar.com $250 (Never heard of it before, just thought it was interesting)

DenverCityProperties.com $6,500 USD

And a drum roll please………….

Privathaftpflichtversicherung.org $1,050 EUR whatever that heck that is! Maybe something related to Geboortekaartjes.info $2,250 EUR (both are real reported sales via Sedo)

On a side note, I have noticed that Afternic / BuyDomains has not been reporting its domain name sales lately other than to DnJournal.com . The last reported sales directly on Afternic.com / Domainer’s Advantage / Sales Performance are from 2/15 to 2/21. I did send a couple emails to my rep over at Afternic but never heard back. Not sure if he works at Afternic any more or not.. but also not sure why they have not been reporting sales directly on the site. If you know anything, please feel free to post a comment below. Tim Bonehill is who I tried contacting several times if you were wondering.
