I started an auction for a domain on Sedo and the auction ended 3-23-2008. Now today, 4-28-2008 Sedo.com contacts me via Erich Mueller (sedo rep) thatpayment was made.

Now, it’s been 39 days and I truely never figured this buyer was going to pay after 14 days had pasted. I have looked at sedo’s TOS and see nothing with an amount of "time" a deal is "open".

So in the email that I got today from Erich, the Sedo Rep, I placed a call to the phone number provided.

After talking with Erich Mueller (Sedo Rep) on the phone from Sedo…… (this is the first and last time I will be talking to him)!

First off, he is in NO WAY professional about customer service. He must of forgot that just because I am the seller, I am STILL a Sedo Customer! After he got a hint that I was calling off the deal, he was very short and very unprofessional.

My first question to Erich was the amount of time a Buyer has to pay for the sale to be valid after a Sedo auction ends. Erich stated the buyer has 10 days to make payment, after that, the seller has the right to void the sale if they choose. In this case, it has been 29 days past that and a total of 39 days, so I have every right to void the sale if I choose. It is not my fault Sedo didn’t put enough pressure on the buyer to make payment in a timely fashion!!! That’s their job, not mine!

Because Sedo currently (39 days after the auction end) has the payment, Erich STRONGLY advised that I go threw with the transaction. No Kinding! Sedo would lose out on a sale and the commission to go along with it, plus Sedo has to inform it’s customer (buyer) that because it paid at a snails pace, the seller can and Has backed out of the deal.

I had stated to Erich, in 39 days, values change on a domain name and the purchase price that the sedo buyer purchased the domain for 39 days ago, was not what the current value IS as I see it. At this time I informed Erich that I would not be willing to offer the domain any longer to the sedo customer and the sale is Voided!

Now with the short and low toned voice of Erich at this point is really what ticked me off! I felt like saying, boo hoo, go cry to mommy. Base this case on the facts Erich. I don’t give a rat’s ass if the buyer has paid and Sedo has the money in escrow now! The auction closed 39 days ago, the buyer didn’t pay within the 10 days allowed! So as a seller, I have every right to back out on the deal. You Erich are the one who is causing me to pull every domain name that I have listed with Sedo, never list a single domain again and I will be expressing to others, IMO to NOT list domain names on Sedo.com. Yes, one bad apple can ruin it for a lot of people.

Erich, no matter if a situation is positive or negative for your company, I AM also a Sedo customer! So treating me badly is and was not a good idea on your part! Grow up, deals fall threw and it wasn’t my fault. Keep in mind that Sellers on Sedo are customers to and NOT just the buyers!
