These are "Comments" that I grabbed from random sites that I found interesting. I will not display the stories they came from, as they are comments and pretty much explain themself. Also a couple stories that I found "interesting".
"From Geoff" Parkers and squatters can be useful. At least they are interested in selling a domain they have to someone who wants it badly enough to pay for it. I wonder which is worse for a business, having a parker register the domain you want and running generic ads on it until you buy it from them, or having a competitor own the domain and running a site about their brand on it? Or worse, a disgruntled customer who has registered your domain and puts up a website full of nasty feedback!
"From Liam" Sounds like an anti-competitive practice to me straight from the dirty tricks department, but I don’t know that there is actually anything illegal about it. Somewhat akin to finding out your neighbor is interested in buying a certain car, then going and buying it yourself just so you can sell to him and pocket yourself a profit. Not technically illegal, but this should be something that people should hear about so they stop going to Network Solutions altogether. If they don’t know what you’re searching for, they can’t block you from buying it. (on Network Solutions "Front Running")

Name That Firm! A good all around read! The domain part is near the bottom and shows that people Clearly do know they could Buy a domain that they want, instead of looking for an "Available One".
