Update: Ali will be The Bachelorette starting in May 2010 on ABC. Jake picked Vienna and proposed on the show.
Ali Fedotowsky made a shocking move last night on ABC’s The Bachelor (yes I watch it). Some say her leaving was staged, some say it wasn’t. Ali stated during the show that she had to decide between her job (reportedly at Facebook.com) or staying on the show. Ali departed the show even though she was a likely front runner to win. At the end of the show, Ali made a phone call to Jake for a teaser for next weeks show… so the question is? Will Ali be coming back to The Bachelor?
Well I did a little digging and ABC’s page on its website for The Bachelor may just have provided the answer by mistake!

Status: Still competing for Jake
2/16/2010 UPDATE: Ali’s Status STILL is the same as pictured above even after last nights show that made it appear she is not coming back! The "Status" for all other girls that were "Eliminated" state the rose ceremony they were eliminated. Ali still holds the very same status for the remaining ladies still on the show that we are aware of! Tenley and Vienna!
Did ABC slip up and let the cat out of the bag? The screen capture images were taken at 12:55 PM Central Time on 2/9/2010 the day After the show aired that she was eliminated. I have no reason to alter the image! Clearly this could simply be a mix up by ABC forgetting to change her status on the Bio page, but all the other status for the women are correct, so you can decide.
Update: Chris Harrison stated to TV Guide: "You haven’t seen the last of Ali and Jake and their situation is not over. Obviously you could tell when she left, on both sides, they’re not done. I’m really proud of the way they handle what’s to come."
Update 2: As for the Facebook rumor, I think this clears it up a little more. Here is Ali Fedotowsky on Twitter @alifedotowsky . Ali use to use the handle @alif9 but that page has been shut down. You will notice she has not posted since July of 2009, but she did post on June 29th 2009: "Start job at Facebook next Monday!!!! YAY!"
Update 3: ABC still has not changed the "status" as pictured above and with what Chris stated, I think it’s pretty clear she is coming back!

Wasn’t this done before? On that show where the girls dated a fake millionaire? Front-runner leaves due to pressure from the other girls. Comes back in the end. Happily ever after, etc. They’re going to have to orchestrate something a little more original if they are able to pull this off and make it look authentic.

I agree! Doesn’t seem that Vienna is “planted”. She just doesn’t seem to fit!
