Rasmussen takes an approach at this marketing message that I really like! Getting Personal. Talking directly to the customer and providing it’s customers an easy way to find their site, which allows them to continue on their message online providing a lot more detailed information its customers want!
This marketing message wasn’t just "handed" to Rasmussen, they went out and got it!
Rasmussen purchased the very important domain name ItsMyTime.com in late December 2008 from it’s past owner, Name Media for $2,600 USD.
Now some may think $2,600 "Just for the domain name" is a lot of money. It is NOT when you have a powerful message like this! With the powerful message, the exact match domain name is a Must Have!
Many times, marketing messages are brought on only if the perfect domain name can be purchased before hand. Sometimes the marketing message comes directly from the domain name!
Rasmussen did a lot of things right in this marketing campaign and A LOT of it was focused around the domain name purchased about a year ago for $2,600 bucks.
One thing that is clear to me, Rasmussen understands the power behind a great domain name and a great marketing message! They also understood that it was important to have a budget for it’s domain name, which many do not!
