In his first year carrying the primary sponsorship of Godaddy.com, Mark Martin and his Hendrick Motorsports #5 Chevrolet has won the pole position for the 2010 Daytona 500! This is like an early win for Godaddy before the 2 Super Bowl commercials air which will bring a lot more eyes to Godaddy.com on Sunday!

(Image Source) Later today (2-6-2010), another high profile race car driver and Godaddy Girl, Danica Patrick will race in her first stock car race in the #7 Godaddy.com sponsored ARCA race. The ARCA race will air on SPEED at 3:30 PM Central time. Danica may also race in the Nationwide Series next Saturday but she and here team will make a decision on that after the ARCA race.
Mark Martin will also pilot the #5 Godaddy.com race car in a special race tonight called the Bud Shootout at 8 PM ET on FOX and he has a great shot at winning this race.

Danica is pictured above with Godaddy Founder and CEO Bob Parsons. GoDaddy.com has really done a GREAT job picking who to sponsor and it appears 2010 will be no different. Mark Martin finish 2nd in last years point standing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and appears to building off that great finish from last year. With Danica jumping into NASCAR on a part time basis this year, Godaddy jumped at (and likely had first shot) at being the primary sponsor on her Nationwide Series and ARCA car. 2010 will also be Godaddy.com’s first year as primary sponsor for Danica’s INDY racing #7 car.
Congrats to Godaddy.com, Mark Martin on today’s Pole win (starting 1st in the race). The Daytona 500 is the Super Bowl for NASCAR btw if you are not a racing fan. It’s a big deal to win the pole and even bigger if you win the 500! The Daytona 500 is on FOX next Sunday (2/14) and you can bet I will be watching as well as this afternoon’s ARCA race (lower division of NASCAR), the Bud shootout tonight and the 500 next Sunday.
