Kudos to you Jamie for "digging" at places no other domainers would :) Most people want droplists etc. but the niche lists like this one are potential gold makers.

@Acro,
It is cool to hear from the side of an advertiser on the site. I figured many of the ads DO get clicks... because I visited the site several times and randomly just clicked! May not convert the best but a visitor is better than no visitor.

@ Ms Domainer,
That is understandable for those who do not like or use Moniker or simply didn't care. I could really only link them to one place and ask for people to do it, yet I think most domainers are well aware of how affiliate programs work and DotWeekly has a fair amount of GoDaddy affiliate links and banners around. Again, not something somebody should have to look for or do if they do not wish but some do that. If I do any more like it down the road, I will try and link them via GoDaddy and maybe explain a little bit better about how affiliate programs work for a site owner.
~
As for the Moniker pricing, I know when I started domaining I requested via Moniker to get a "NamePros" style account at Moniker. Pricing is lower, forwarding is free etc.

Domainers are known penny pinchers, keep that in mind before you release any list for free.

As I have a $900 block on the Million Dollar Homepage (big white "A" against a black/red background on top right row) I was laughed at back in the day about my investment.

The truth is, an ad is a valid business expense which brought in traffic (and spam emails) for the past 4 1/2 years.

Thanks for the list though, it shows how temporary some investments can be.

I didn't reg any, but if I had, I would never use Moniker. I dislike them with a passion. I have an account there only because of aftermarket business when one is FORCED to use them.

They charge for just about everything, and I prefer doing business with registrars that don't nickel and dime me to death every time I need to do an action, like forwarding a domain.

Maybe you need better partners, like Domainmonster and maybe GoDaddy (who I use reluctantly, but at least they allow complete control of your domain and offer free email).

Most people here were not trying to be sneaky and cheap; it's just that there may be myriad reasons why they don't want to use Moniker.

;)

@Sol,
Thank you for the donation, it is much appreciated! Feel free to use any of the Godaddy banners or links on DotWeekly, as that also shows the love and will help keep the $$$ in your pocket. Affiliate links are the way Godaddy and other companies allow me to promote its service and earn a little bit in return, yet prevents you from spending anything more than normal ;) Your donation raises the number of donations to DotWeekly at 5, lifetime.

Hi,

I like to keep my domains all in one place (GoDaddy)so I registered a domain with them. But I do appreciate your effort and if you send me your PayPal email address I will give you a bonus.

Hi

I reged 6 at fab yesterday. As I don't use moniker I didnt use your link. I like to keep all my domains at fab. However you have my word that if I get any decent sales out of any of the 6 I will gladly pay you a reasonable bonus.

Thanks for your thread, it was a really good one !
