I often like to see lists of domaining sites that others use, so here is a list of domaining sites/tools that I use and why I like them. These are listed in order of sites that I use the most!

DomainResearchTool.com

Also known as DRT. I do not use the site all that much, but I do love the software that Luc provides and it is my #1 tool that I use every single day. If you do not have it, I think you should have it. You can get the software here for a one-time fee of $129 and I think is the best $129 any domainer will ever spend. The software includes daily lists of domain names from sites like SnapNames.com, NameJet.com and also offers all the Pending Delete domain lists, Registrar Hold and more. You can use the handy File Splitter, track your own portfolio, run bulk Whois scans on lists of domain  name up to 500K domains. The software offers so many options that I could go on and on, but you can view all the details of the software here. Once you do get the software, just start playing around with it! You will love it!

TDNAM.com

TDNAM is the Aftermarket Auction service of Godaddy.com that offers expired and user submitted domain names. The hottest items for me are the Expired Auctions and the Fire Sale domains.

FreshDrop.net

FreshDrop was created by a NamePros.com member and is a great tool to help find the best domain names for TDNAM.com . They also offer the same tools, but for other auction sites like SnapNames.com, NameJet.com, Pool.com and more. They do offer the TDNAM.com expired and fire sale domains for free. All the domain names show metrics for each that include domain age, backlinks, Google returns, PR, Overture, current bid price and much more. The data is updated very often and is just a great tool.

Domaining.com

Domaining.com is a newer site which grabs RSS feeds from all the top domain related blogs. It’s a must read for any domainer to stay on-top of all the latest news. One downfall of the site, is the "repeated" reportings of several news stories by many of the bloggers, which I stay away from doing myself and try to write unique and helpful postings, but I still rank it 4th on my top 10 list.

GoDaddy.com

The #1 domain name registrar X’s 3 by volume and much more for me. Great customer service, great pricing, very easy to use control panel and coupons keep me coming back! Godaddy.com is my most used domain name registrar. Sometimes it’s the little things like Domain Forwarding which they offer for Free. A registrar like NetworkSolutions.com offers domain name forwarding for $12/yr which seems just silly to me. I also really like the fact that Godaddy does a massive amount of advertising and is helping out the domain industry get more world wide exposure.

Moniker.com

My #2 used domain name registrar. I like the security and control panel Moniker offers. Pricing is fair but I would give customer service a big thumbs down! I thought it would get better with the new "Ticket" system, but the people that reply to those "tickets" do not always seem to know the answers…. Another reason I use Moniker, is because I see domain names on SnapNames.com and your domain name needs to be with Moniker.com or uDomainName.com in order to offer it for sale on SnapNames.

DnJournal.com

Another must read when the new weekly reported sales come, which are published every Tuesday night (for me)! The Lowdown section is also another section to check out when you are at DnJournal. Ron Jackson does a great job!

NameJet.com

NameJet.com was created after Network Solutions and Snap Names stopped doing business together. eNom and NetSol joined forces to make an instant powerhouse in the domain name aftermarket. NameJet.com simply has The Best expiring domain names. Since NetSol was the first domain name registrar around, they also hold some of the most valuable domain names which go to NameJet exclusively to be auctioned off after the domain expires. The Pre-Release section is what I visit 99% of the time. Using the pre-loaded list in the DRT Software, makes finding all the gems a breeze!

SnapNames.com

If I would of wrote this about a year or so ago, Snap Names would be MUCH higher in my list. Since losing NetSol domains, the service had dropped down in my list, but is Regaining steam. Now accepting user submitted domains and with the purchase of Moniker.com the domains listed for sale seem to be getting better. Snap Names is still partnered with several bigger domain name registrars like Register.com, MyDomain.com and DirectNic.com so they do have nice domains running in auction daily. Their dropcatching is Top Notch and is a great place to backorder PendingDelete domains, but I do suggest if you really want a PendingDelete domain to backorder it at SnapNames.com, NameJet.com and Pool.com .

NameBio.com

NameBio was created by a great friend of mine, Justin Allen and continues to be a source of many domainers and others daily. NameBio offers a searchable database of domain name sales which can be a great guide to help you price a domain name you are looking to value. The database is updated daily to help provide the freshest data for the users need. NameBio grabs the latest sales from sites like Sedo.com, SnapNames.com, NameJet.com, Afternic.com and more.

I hope this list is some help for you!
