NameJET.com continues to produce when it comes to selling expired domain names and the past couple of days have been no different! Two five figure sales grabbed the most attention with BedSheets.com grabbing $48,600 followed by BedLinens.com at $22,322.
Both of those domain names were owned by the same entity when they expired at NetworkSolutions.com near the end of July 2010. Dan River Inc. was the past owner who let the domain names lapse and missed out on the $70,922 the combined sold for!
Both domain names used an email address on DanRiver.com but that domain name expired April 27, 2009 and is now registered with NameCheap.com to a different owner other than Dan River Inc. The domain is parked with Sedo. The company was founded in 1882. It was formerly known as Riverside and Dan River Cotton Mills, Inc. and changed its name to Dan River Mills, Inc. in 1964. Further, the name was changed to Dan River, Inc. in 1970. Dan River is based in Danville, Virginia. As of January 6, 2006, Dan River, Inc. is listed as a subsidiary of Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd.
Gujarat resides on the domain name GhcLindia.com and it is likely the domain names were overlooked "during a sale" of the company. These two domains were a couple nice assets that were overlooked and very targeted to what the company offers!

Five figure sales will almost always grab the most attention but NameJET rolled off several other solid four figure sales the past couple of days as well. Some of those domain name sales include:
Pedra.com $1,233
ConcorDance.com $6,223
CastNet.com $4,577
VisualizationSoftware.com $4,655
W3W.com $2,500
TradeWire.com $2,954
Krus.com $1,621
23i.com also brought in $571 and GadFlyer.com $709

I am blown away by these purchase prices. I think in some ways I must be completely out of touch because I would probably not have paid 10% of those sales prices.
I just don’t see any business being built on either of them, the domains are just too narrow, and I don’t see them being worth anywhere near that much from type in traffic.
Oh well, I guess I just don’t “Get it”.=)
