The owner of Names.biz has sent the domain to auction at Sedo.com on a $4K offer. The domain has nearly 2 days left in auction and the reserve has been met with 496 visitors to the Sedo listing.
The owner of the domain, James S. hopes the sale will show that .biz domains do hold value. I like the domain since it does hold a couple uses, but will clearly work best for domain names. The plural version is why I think it will work best for domain names, but either would work. It is important to stand out in the domain industry and have a great domain for your business and this one will do that. I like the name, but not the extension all that much, but if the new owner’s focus is not within the domain industry, the .biz extension will be very fitting and should help to attract end users to the site.
It is to note this domain is not considered Sold until funds have been paid and the domain has been transfered to the new owner. Sedo has a big problem "closing the deal", so keep an eye open to see if it closes.
