I do not use the domain name regisrar NetworkSolutions.com a ton, but do use them from time to time. I must admit that the backend is pretty nice and if it wasn’t for the high domain name cost, I would likely use them more!
So what’s up with NSI? They are rolling out some massive changes! The site itself is getting a full new look. Even down to the Logo is changing. They are also putting in some trademarked names for their products.
Example. Domain names will not be called domain names any longer at NSI. They will be called nsWebAddress™. Basically all the products will hold the ns term along with the name of the service. nsHosting, nsProtect, nsMarketing, nsBusinessSpace etc.
The new homepage looks pretty slick I must say. Very modern looking!

You can preview the changes here, which is directly at Network Solutions. It’s always exciting to see big services like this make big changes and it looks like NSI has gone all out. It’s not often you see a big company make a logo change, let along the whole look of it’s site, products and services.

Are their prices any lower? That seems to be the main issue with these guys.

If you get a ‘Gold Account’ you can get .com’s for $8.75. I threatened to move all of my domains out last year and they offered that pricing level. I have other registrars that are a little cheaper, but they made it easy to stay…..So call and ask!

I don’t like them becuase of proce and the fact that they hijack/steal domains when somebody checks the for registration on their website. I don’t know if they stopped butI still think that was real BS. Plus 8.75 is still higher than a lot other good registrars.
However they do have good hosting support.

Hi Jamie,
Thanks for posting. At Network Solutions we are excited and the changes are a direct result of customer feedback Network Solutions received over the past few months.
Thanks,

Their design and a lot of the product alignment is really great. WAY easier to navigate for the consumer. But nsWebAddress? I find it pretty ridiculous to create confusion in the marketplace by calling a domain name anything but a “domain name”. That said, nice job netsol.

@Shashi,
Thank you for stopping by. One of the comments here talked about a “Gold Account” which allows for $8.75 registration and renewal. Could you share with us an easy way to go about getting an account set up like this?

The page looks much better than it used to, but the nsNames(tm) are silly.

I don’t what an nswebaddress because What is the Meaning of that! If it is trademarked maybe it doesn’t belong to me….
The hosting was Terrible. No customer support of any value. I wasted hours. Had to cancel and they would not refund…only partial refund.
I am suspicious of the ns business
