It appears that Google.com is offering a new layout for some adwords advertising spots on it’s search engine. I just noticed this today and below is the screen shot with several new things that I noticed.

One, is the "pink" colored background. Not a big change but it is a change from a yellowish color before.

The biggest change is the amount of links in one ad! In the past, just the "title" was clickable (hyperlinked). Now there is at least an option of having up to 5 links in one ad as seen below!

New Google Adwords Advertising w/ 5 links

That is a pretty big deal IMO and will likely convert much better! It also increases the chances that people may click on an ad link instead of a natural search ranking due to a better keyword placement due to the options the advertiser has now.

You will notice for the search term domain name that GoDaddy holds the #1 advertised spot on the top of the page. Not only is the $7.49 Domain Name term a link, so are the added 4 terms below the meta description part of the ad.

Domain Search

Transfer a Domain

$1.99 Hosting

SSL Certtificates

Not only "more" text in the ad but more detailed links for a user to click to better find what they are looking for.

Clearly GoDaddy.com does a much better job IMO with keywords of the extra 4 spots than Network Solutions does! The first two extra links are good ($5.99 Web Hosting and Transfer a Domain) but what is Official Site® and Holiday Rush Deals doing them any good!

It is also interesting to note that DomainName.com now ranks # 3 naturally on Google.

If someone clicks on more than one link in the same visit, does the advertiser pay more?
