Our good friend over at TheDomains.com / MostWantedDomains.com Michael Berkens has sold the domain names NoStrings.com and NoStringsAttached.com in partnership with Sedo for a combined total of $75,000 USD.
The domain names were reported sold at Sedo, but Michael’s domain portfolio site MostWantedDomains.com has been having a play in many domain interest contacts. Michael decided to test out Sedo’s brokerage service and pass along leads on specific domain names of his and lets Sedo help in closing out the sales. So far Michael has been pleased with the early results of this test.
Each NoStrings domain held a $37,500 price tag according to Sedo’s recent sales page but sold as a "package deal" for $75,000 with Sedo displaying the sold prices equally.
The domain names are still in escrow, so the buyer is not yet known.
MWD was also behind the recent sales and letting Sedo close the deals of:
WhichIsBetter.com for $5,000
SleepNaked.com for $4,500
DUIAttorney.org for $35,000
iLoveLondon.com for $10,000
GearedUp.com for $14,000
Clearly Sedo is pulling in some nice sale prices! Sometimes it can be risky passing along an interested party in your domain name to a broker but I have also used this process with good results in the past. I didn’t use Sedo but I used my sales account rep from Afternic. If you do not feel fully confident in your "sales skills", it may be worth giving this process a try from time to time.
Mr Berkens has been buying domain names since 1997 and currently holds a portfolio of over 70,000 domain names and could be considered one of the strongest single owned portfolios on the web. Clearly it takes a nice domain to bring in nice end user sales, but I think many would agree that the prices above are very fair for the seller and Sedo is doing a good job!
Michael also sold DontStopBelieving.com for $7,500 and MoreThenFriends.com for $5,000 in private transactions.
Congrats goes out to Michael, Sedo and the buyers!
This shows that it is important to keep trying new things, take some risks and never give up!

Prices IMO are getting ready to go up big-time.
Inventory of good domains is starting to run a little scarce and more buyers are coming to the table.
I keep my prices up and nobody seems to mind except Afternic which always complains everything in my portfolio is priced too expensively, but one look at these sales tells me otherwise.

@Jensen,
No April Fools. I confirmed the sale with the past owner.
