It has been awhile since I have done my "Off the wall domain name stats" so I figured I would do another one. These are some stats that are not always seen and are pretty interesting numbers. These stats show domain names that are moving from one parking company to another, which registrars are the biggest gainers and losers, domain names that have expired and went Pending Renewal Deletion etc.

These are stats from yesterday May 16, 2008 .

Godaddy.com continues to rule the registrar league with a positive gain of 560,423 domain names over the past 30 days and now with a total of 25,260,275 domains under it’s control

NetworkSolutions.com continues to Lose domain names and has had a negative lose of 11,099 domain names over the past 30 days. NetSol still holds the # 3 spot for the most domains under control, but it looks as if Tucows will gain that # 3 spot within a month or two.

There are currently 987 ICANN domain name registrars.

Sedo Parking gained 3,473 domain names.

TrafficZ.com gained 1,062 parked domains.

NameDrive.com gained 521 domains.

Register.com had 1,052 domain names go into expired status.

NetworkSolutions.com had 3,499 domain names go into expired stats.

Tucows.com had 3,152 domain names go into expired status.

DirectNic.com had 845 domain names go into expired status.

39,448 domain names moved from HitFarm.com TO SmartName.com

2,264 domain names that were listed on SnapNames.com were then parked with NameDrive.com

1,742 domain names moved from Fabulous.com to SedoParking.. (they must not read my blog lol)

1,342 domain names moved from Afternic.com to TrafficZ.com

eNom started tasting 684 domain names from Pool.com and and 21,811 from SnapNames.com . eNom uses my system that I offer for free on www.Redrops.com . They are able to get SO many domains because they are a registrar, but you can still get some as well. eNom Redrops most of these domain names again in 4 days etc…
