Francois, the owner of the popular Domaining.com site and PremiumDomains.com marketplace has unloaded another great sale announced today, by selling Optimize.com for $115,000 USD. This is a nice 6 figure sale but even better when you know the approximate profit!

Francois appears (based on whois records and a report on DnJournal.com) to have purchased Optimize.com via Moniker in Feb of 2008 for $24,650.

This would put the domain sale for Francois on Optimize.com around the $90K profit range or about $45K profit for each year he owned the domain name.

Francois also made news recently with the quick 3 month flip of Pepe.com, which he purchased for $15,000 and sold for about $61K. The Pepe.com sale brought in a $45K profit for 3 months of owning it.

Clearly it takes some cash to purchase quality domain names, but also shows that a nice profit can be made when you purchase the right ones for the right prices. I hope somebody sees the value in Plans.com, a domain I wrote about a little while back. Francois also owns Plans.com .

Congrats goes out to the buyer and Francois on this recent sale. If you have premium domain names you wish to offer for sale, stop by and check out PremiumDomains.com . If you have short and catchy domain names for sale, check out one of Francois other sites, Mocus.com .

As for me, I can’t seem to sell anything :)
