Welcome to another exclusive series of GoDaddy Goodies! The following is a hand pick list of expired, no reserve domain names that are currently on public auction. I filter a huge list of over 400,000 domain names and come up with a manageable list of domain names that I think are worth considering to invest in and present them totally free to you! All I ask is that you click the links if you are interested in a domain.

All domain names are expired and have the lowest starting price of any expired domain name auctions! All auctions start at $10/$12.

I think this list is one of the better ones lately! Each domain name is directly linked to the specific auction for easy one click bidding or watching. Here we go with the 70 expired domain name auctions:

Several great domain names in the list so I hope you were able to find at least a couple that interest you! Be sure to use the little blue arrow to view the other pages as only 30 domains are listed per page in the chart above. Best of luck if you decide to bid on any and thank you for reading DotWeekly.

Francios Carrillo, the owner of Domaining.com has been setting up a list of 100 domain names to be offered for sale with some of the funds going back to domain name bloggers like DotWeekly.

You can submit a domain name for sale to be included in the 100 domains! This list of domain name is going to be heavily promoted on several sites, so I think it is well worth a shot at submitting a domain. You can submit your domain name here to be considered. http://www.cax.com/submit/newsletter/

Your time is running out to submit, so I suggest to get your butt in gear if you wish to submit a domain for sale.

The domain sales list will be published Jan 9, 2012.

Here is the fine print:

- Only one domain per member, no exception.
- Any extension is welcome but .COM is recommended.
- No typo, no hack, no cybersquatting, no adult.
- Double check you are not misspelling your domain.
- Priced for domainers (remember they know domain value).
- Sale commission is 10%.
- Sale exclusivity will run for 2 weeks after newsletter delivery.
- Domains sales will be escrow by ECOP.com for FREE.

The 10% commission for a sale is what will be passed along to the domain bloggers and technically is a really low commission rate compared to many of the popular services, which is great for the seller.

Thank you as always for reading DotWeekly and I want to thank Francois for doing this for the bloggers! Again, submit your domain today as time is running out!

I do these types of articles for one reason, to help! I’m not bashing any company or person when doing them as it simply helps to have a real life example.

The Company: Bill Paul Limited

Domain Used For Website: BillPaulLtd.com

Company Name Advertised As: "Bill Paul Limited"

Bill Paul Limited

The problem lies with using the acronym "LTD" in the domain name and not the full keyword Limited. The company is local for me and I had seen a TV ad recently with the majority of talk relating to "Bill Paul Limited", with no mention of the LTD acronym. I only heard the term BillPaulLimited.com and tried to visit THAT domain and not the acronym.

The company does the right thing and owns the domain name BillPaulLimited.com but isn’t doing anything with the domain name. By saying they are not doing anything with it, I mean when or if you or anybody would type either BillPaulLimited.com or www.BillPaulLimited.com you end up on a dead page and not the companies website.

This is a problem! What if you lose one customer because they visited BillPaulLimited.com and not BillPaulLtd.com? What if you lose 5 a month? Not a big number but you are losing them. This is easily avoided by simply doing a 301 redirect with the "extra" domain name to your main website you already own. It literally takes seconds to do and you own the domain name already so why not put it to use!

This really is a simple mistake and I know not everybody thinks of domain names 24/7 like some do but it can make a difference.

My Advice

If your main message in advertising is "Bill Paul Limited" use the exact match domain name in your ad. Why leave people guessing or having to spend the time to explain "LTD" as an acronym for them to land at your website. There are really unlimited things you can do with domain names but the best advice that I can give is to use a domain name that simply makes sense. It should feel natural and pass the "radio test". Your domain name spells as it sounds.

If you own multiple domain names relating to your business or products, use them in some way!
