Being a domain name investor and finding the perfect buyer is not always an easy task. When this perfect buyer comes to you, all the better!

I always think that waiting is the right thing to do when selling anything that is specific and one of a kind. If an end user really wants something, they will find a way to find you!

One thing that can be a bit frustrating is when the perfect buyer does come in contact with you and a deal can not be made. The puzzle pieces are there but they all just do not fit.

Nine times out of ten, it’s the $$$$$ that doesn’t make the deal work.

It is frustrating but it happens.

Just because your perfect buyer showed up doesn’t mean the perfect deal is going to take place. As a seller, you have to stay strong and believe in the item you own is worth every penny you are asking for it.

Recently, I have had several perfect buyers contact me. I consider them perfect buyers because the domain names they were interested in are a Perfect fit for what they do!

During research into the buyers after they contacted me is what allowed me to know the domain they were interested in, was a perfect fit!

It has always been a up hill climb for domain investors to educate the true value of the domain name to the interested party. The end user knows they "want" the domain but it is our job to also show them they "Need" it.

Although it is frustrating when the perfect buyer comes along and a deal is not made, be sure to learn from the deal as they may come back after some time or another perfect buyer will come along.

You can only sell a domain once but given how rare end users are for any particular domain, you don’t have to get the perfect price to make a deal. Unless your name is Rick Schwartz :)

I believe that contacting end users is the best and most protitable approach. I market domains to end users daily and close many deals each week. Sending emails and informing end users about keyword domains that could be of value to them (development, branding, advertising, re-directing traffic etc.) is an easy and simple process to land regular end user sales.
