The domain name PetInsuranceComparison.com has been purchased in a Sedo domain name auction for $11,100 USD by PetInsurance.com* after being sent to auction on a $2,500 bid. The domain name is now used as a simple forward to PetInsurance.com currently .
There are over 30,000 exact monthly searches for the matching term according to the seller, so there is a nice amount of interest from pet owners to compare insurance costs for their beloved pets.
Domain name blogger M Htike of DomainNameReview.com is the one who sent the domain name to a No Reserve auction on a starting bid of $2,500 USD as an articled stated on the blog written on June 10th announcing the auction.
This was a nice jump in price during the auction as that doesn’t always happen. A total of 54 bids were placed during the auction that involved 6 total bidders. Bidders # 2 and # 3 were the most active bidders and bidder # 2 happened to be PetInsurance.com .
Being a pet owner myself of two dogs, and one with a lot of medical conditions, I wish I would have considered pet insurance several years ago when they arrived home because I think I may have saved myself a few bucks over the years.

Congrats go out to DNR and PetInsurance.com. It is also nice to see that the auction was active and it would appear the buyer’s risk with the no reserve auction paid off. It would be interesting to know what a counter offer price may have been.. since the seller stated they felt the domain name was worth $xx,xxx.
