If you have used PremiumDrops.com in the past, you will now have to pay $24.95 per month. This only comes to $0.83 per day, which is still pretty cheap, but most domainers seem to expect to get this kind of info for Free.

If you are still looking for a "good free service", I think your next best option will be AllDrops.com . They do not have all the metrics that PremiumDrops.com has, but you can still get the domain lists and be able to search them the way you wish.

You can also download domain lists from Manntis.com which I set up to provide the Source of the lists for sites like Snap Names, NameJet etc. If you use DRT then you can just run the lists threw it, and get your metrics for these domains. I should have the full TDNAM lists soon on Manntis soon. Currently I just have the RSS feeds and I will also be adding Pool.com’s lists.

I think that makes sense that PremiumDrops.com goes to a pay service.
Luc and his company also need to make money.
If developers are not paid for their work, they cannot inovate and sometime not even maintain current services.
Now I am not a drop names buyer so I don’t know the value of the alternative free options.

I agree with you Francois. I think all services like that should be pay services. ;)

Everyone should get paid for their work but premiumdrops was promising its free members that it would stay free until 2010. They simply lied, which discourages me from doing business with them. if they would have said i would have to pay by x date, i would pay, but they lied and i cant trust them with domain names or anything of the sort that has any value to it.

    ps. manntis.com has no lists

US$25 is OK I think, but I went to register with the site and it actually says US$1000 per month for the subscription! Is this a scam??

    **Jamie Says**
That clearly must be a mistake. Nothing online is worth a $1K a month subscription….

    THEY ARE SCAMMERS !!!!!!!!!!!!

They say that you can “test” their service for free if you cancel you subscription in less than 3 days. I have tested the system (it sucks) and they do not want to cancel my subscription.

My Credit Card is charged every month…..

I will report them to the police.

    BEWARE OF THIS CRIMINALS

    p.s. http://www.freshdrop.net/ service is really good :)
