Today, the President of the United States visited my home town of Green Bay, Wisconsin and I figure this is something that doesn’t happen often, so I better head into the crowd to capture a little history.

The Great thing for me, was the motorcade would only be traveling about 1 mile from my home. I went down to the corner of Westpoint and Packerland Dr. and  waited about one hour to capture the video below of the motorcade coming by.

I have a lot more video, but YouTube is being a pain to load it up… It was a neat experience to see but they drove by really fast. I recorded nearly the whole hour I was out there capturing video of all the protesters, helicopters, secret service agents, police and much more.

The crowds were pretty quiet and I didn’t see any heated debates or fights etc. One thing I do need to do… is get better with my video recorder. To my defense, I was on roller blades and on a hill :) but I also got a little excited with the zoom feature.

It was something that was cool to see in person and some history I will have around for sometime, probally a long time. I was also keeping up to date on things Before I left my house via Twitter which was pretty fun in itself. People were posting pictures from "inside" where the meeting took place, lines, media trucks etc.

It was easy to follow as the hash tag #obamagb was being used. You can do a search via Twitter.com or click here to see search results for #obamagb .

I live very close to the airport, and waited outside to video Air Force One taking off, but they must of flew East out of the airport. Several great pictures are posted on Fox11Online.com from today event as well.

“I recorded (on) video of all the protesters, helicopters, secret service agents, police and much more.”

The Secret Service probably captured you too
…especially if you were on roller blades. :-)

    Quick getaway?
