I couldn't agree more. In fact, don't you think there is some opportunity here for someone to market these auctions to end users on behalf of the domain owners?

I put in about 8 hours marketing a domain I have in today's live auction to potential end users. I sent out e-mails and created a landing page, but would have done more if I had the time. I'd pay someone 3-5% of the sales price to do it for me. Heck, if there is a market for this type of service I'd do it.

Anyway... great point! One other thing to consider is if you do get a potential end user interested in the auction, are they "tech savvy" enough to know how to download and use the bidding software?

Great point, very wise thing to do.

There are also forums that have advertising related areas. My Marketplace has a classified listing type to promote external auctions.

Any one extra visitor could be a bidder!
