Funny title, powerful tool! Yahoo offers a tool called Pipes and offers this free tool at pipes.yahoo.com . The basics of the tool are simple. Create or join data mashups into a single feed.
You can use these feeds for your own uses with Google Reader or you can use tools like TwitterFeed.com and feed this one feed you created with Pipes to your twitter account.
Use Pipes to create a data mashup feed for specific websites you own to offer news related to your topic or use affiliate RSS feeds to add another option of making cash with your websites!
Here is a basic video using pipes.yahoo.com of setting up some feeds to combine into one feed. It might look a little hard, but it is pretty easy when you start using the tool. Once you have your feed, everything else is really a bunch of filters. Watch the video and then play around with the tool. After you create your feed, you can also publish it and allow others to use your feed if you choose.
This tool has massive amounts of options! I only played around with it for a little bit over the weekend, but I know there are near endless options for you to use this tool.
Want to learn a lot on how to use Pipes or "borrow" and change what somebody has already created that catches your eye? Checkout popular pipes of what other people have created and you can change things from their Pipe created by clicking the Source tab (make sure you are logged in) and adjust it to work with what you need.
Be sure to save it after adjusting.
You can also simply just "clone" the created pipe and use it as well.
Be sure to use the search function in the popular pipes to better look for specific pipes that you can use or adjust to make your own.
Let me know what you think of the tool, if you have used it before, please feel free to display some sites you are using it on so others can get a better idea of the power of this tool.
