    You left out the number of domains listed on afternic. It will be interesting to see the ratio of domains in auction by total domains listed for both services.
    Sedo – 268/11.5 million
    Afternic – 4/??

    Hi Jamie
    Due to some server re-directs, you aren’t counting one client alone that has parked over 75,000 domains at WhyPark. Their total domain count is well over 200,000 at this date. When i was VP of Biz Dev, I brought Whypark domains parking from 50,000, to 150,000 within less than a year, and that was BEFORE they were free. They are chomping at more than 200k right now, but you can’t find this info through traditions means, because WhyPark works out special deal for large domain holders that don’t show up on whois or other analytic sites.

    Just know this… by the end of this year, WhyPark will have over 300,000 domains parked with them, at the minimum. Especially for those domainers who want some content on their domains for SE indexing and “impressing” end users…

    thanks for the article, broey

    @Viqi,
    I wasn’t 100% of the number of domains on Afternic as they seemed to remove the number (or I couldn’t find it). Since they added a better verification, I’m sure the number has changed a lot. It was around 3 million. Although Sedo claims 11.5 Million, I would put a large bet that is really not the case. I would say closer to 5-7 Million really.

    No problem, Jamie.

    However, my name is spelled “STEPHEN” (second vowel is an ‘e’, not an ‘a’)

    i’m picky about that! But I’ll still invite you over to my acreage in Pac norwest for a few days of fun, rest, beer, and other libations to clear your mind!

    cheers

    Stephen
