Sedo.com has closed another very strong six figure domain name sale and this time around the domain is RedWine.com for $150,000

RedWine.com

RedWine.com was first registered in 1995. The domain name is currently in the transfer process, so the new owner is not known at this time. The domain name had privacy protection since late 2006, so the past owner is not known either but the it appears Redwine Enterprises of Mill Valley, CA was the past owner of the domain name.

Great generic product domain name that simply makes sense! Used in advertising to wine drinkers, distributors etc will even make all that much more sense! Well worth the price paid IMO and this domain name will likely get put to use pretty quickly by the new domain name owner.

That is an exceptional domain and a very good buy in my opinion at that price.

It looks like we are starting to see some domains selling for what they REALLY are worth.

Thank goodness the world is waking up, one person at a time. :)

I’ve been selling domains like hot cakes starting in mid 2009 and has not let up since. The market is really about to explode.

I know the new owner and can guarantee this will be one hell of a buy. It will be developed, not just plain parked… Congrats to Sedo for making the deal happen.

Great name, but the price seems high in my opinion. I worked in the wine space for a bit – it is a tricky space to make money.

Additionally – the term “red wine” is not a buying term – so even great SEO on the term isn’t likely to bring too many sales.
