Ford® has teamed up with Rally Car driver Ken Block (owner of DC shoes) and the driver of the # 43 Ford Fiesta Rally Car to help promote the new 2011 Ford Fiesta. The promotion is run on the domain name RockItLikeBlock.com but the domain does a simple 301 redirect (forward) to promo.espn.go.com. The ad I saw was played during the X Games 16 rally car race.
Contestants have the chance to win a 2011 Ford Fiesta car which is designed by Block himself and it is tricked out from "Grill to Rim". Here is the TV commercial (which is pretty sweet)
One thing that made me scratch my head a little bit is that Ford owns the domain name, yet the domain forwards to an ABC/ESPN owned website?

Most people wouldn’t be aware of this but it puzzled me a little bit. It may be because of a partnership between Ford and ABC as a cross promotion with X Games is the only thing I could think, due to X Games promotion on the web page. Another thing is, that you have to "create an account" on the ESPN site in order to enter to win the car….
Ford registered the domain name on June 9, 2010 and has registered the domain name out until 2012 for now. The promotion ends August 13, 2010 at 12:00PM ET.
