Sedo.com is clearly doing things Right! They are selling some great domains at great prices which is very exciting to any domain name seller.
These are a couple things that I wish they consider to offer or change.
~ Parking Pages: If you park your domain name with SedoParking.com, the parking pages are not bad, but if you are interested in selling, it seems to me the May Be For Sale link is kind of hid and not that many people may see it? I’m not sure if this is a parking agreement with the feed provider or just a design choice by Sedo. I have Uked.com parked at Sedo, but you have to scroll down about half page, and then on the left side you will see the for sale image below.
I think any For Sale badge should be above the fold (no scrolling) if the person wishes to offer the domain for sale, so visitors can see it. An example, would be a Fabulous.com parking page which put’s it’s for sale banners on upper right corner and a unique one on the bottom of the page.
If I wasn’t "looking" for the for sale link on the Sedo Parking Pages, I think I wouldn’t even see it or know the domain is or was for sale.
Since many people will visit the actual domain name directly they are interested in, if they miss the Buy This Domain image, they may move on or not know what to do next to purchase the domain…
~ Prices. I wouldn’t mind having an option in my account to show prices kind of like Afternic does for customers to see. If you put a minimum offer price, no price is shown on the domain page if visited unless you make an offer lower then the lowest expected price. This can be good or bad because the interested party can submit a much higher offer then if they saw a minimum offer price posted.
The other way, if the interested party can not see any price, it could prevent them from even submitting any offer. Currently, I think the only way you can have a price on the buy page of the actual domain, is to have a fixed price aka Buy It Now.
Now I have Uked.com listed to take offer’s starting at $60 and I wouldn’t mind that price be shown, instead of the Make Offer text. Something like: Seller’s taking offers starting at: $xx. Other then just showing Make Offer. Again, it would be nice to have the option, as I do like the way the system is currently but options are nice and some domains I wouldn’t mind the price showing.
~ Categories, it would be nice to see some more categories, which I think would help the domain seller and the buyer. Currently, if you are listing 2 character or 2 letter domains, a domain lister has to simply select 3 character or Acronym. I like the "product" section in the Health area, but no other cat’s have it. I like that option in other cat’s.
Again, this post is only a couple suggestions that I think may help a little or things I would like added. Sedo is doing a Great Job for the domain industry and has created a great marketplace for buyers and sellers!
What do you think of my couple suggestions? Do you have some also? Feel free to leave a comment

Great suggestions.
The thing I would really like to see as an option at Sedo, is something similar to http://www.pushToAuction.com
By that, I mean, a price where the owner is committed to sending the name to auction. In the current set-up, I can list all my domains at $60, then turn around and ask for 100K. That makes no sense, at least to me.
Buyers would have a known target instead of a BS guessing game.

“What do you think of my couple suggestions?”
Very good suggestions.

“Do you have some also?”
Yes.
You are right that the Categories are lacking and have not kept up with the times.
-
1)New Up-To-Date Categories
For example:
If you have any “Green” domains, under what category do you list them?
There should be a “Green” category since it’s a big category that’s here to stay..
—
2)Category Suggestion Tool
It’s often difficult to try and figure out which category should be used for some domains.
Sedo should create a Category Suggestion Tool.
There is no category for “Weddings” for example.
It would be really great if we can input a keyword into the Category Suggestion Tool and get one or more category suggestions.
—-
3)Capitalization
It would be great if Sedo allowed domains to be listed with the first letter of each keyword Capitalized, if desired.
It makes it much easier to read a domain especially when you’re going through a long list.
DotWeekly.com instead of dotweekly.com.
It would probably also make it easier for the software that automatically assigns categories.
—
4)Delete Domains
It’s very possible if you have a lot of domains that some may expire but still be listed in your account.
If an offer comes in for a domain you no longer own, there should be a provision in the transaction area to deal with this scenario.
Currently you cannot delete a domain if an offer has been made.

5)Account Manager
Assign an account manager to any member with a large portfolio.
“Large” to be determined by Sedo.
Domain Name Media
I agree with all the suggestions mentioned above, especially about the for sale link. I switched all my domains to Fabulous parking because their for-sale message is much more prominent. Plus, you don’t have to pay a commission when you get an offer. After I made the switch I started receiving a lot more offers.

Im so tired of finding names at sedo and having to log on to make an offer on a name that has no minimum showing…even worse when its a $500 domain and the owner has 10k on it after I go through the routine…I’m positive they miss a ton of sales due to this hassle.

Great suggestions guys! I will make sure a Sedo rep see’s this post, so if you have any more suggestions, feel free to post them so they see them.

Great feedback, Jamie. We’ll definitely look into these.
Keep in mind the “For Sale” link is competing with PPC Ads for real estate on the parking pages. We optimize our page layout for monetization, but definitely on low RPM / high resale value domains, we should make the For Sale link more prominent.
You’re right on BuyNow being the only way of showing prices on Sedo.com. We urge domainers to use BuyNow price on the tail of their inventory.
We are also “rethinking” our categorization scheme from the ground up.
Email me if you want to discuss,
Best,
