Sedo.com has been making some nice changes lately with the new category tree which was improved to include 2500 categories and is now offering a free automated price suggestion feature for listed domain names.
Sedo included this message in the Domain Management section:
How do you use the new feature?
- Simply put a check mark next to the domain(s) you wish to get the price suggestion.
- Scroll down to the drop down box and select "get free price suggestions".
- Click Execute
The domains will show they are pending the price suggestion. Wait a few moments and simply Refresh the page. Depending on how many domains are already in the que, it will show you how long until the suggestion is available in Minutes.. (Min)
Please keep in mind this is an automated price suggestion tool and does not mean somebody will or will not pay the suggested price.
For this test, I used the tool on one domain:
Cavemen.org which resulted in a 56,068 min wait. LOL
Since the tool was just launched, I’m sure a lot of people are flooding the system. It will be interested to see the price suggestion after the 56 thousand minute wait, but I think this tool will help some people that are not sure what to price their domain at.
If you do not wish to wait, you can always use the free appraisal tool at Estibot.com as well, which produces near instant results. It will be nice to compare Sedo’s and Estibot’s appraisals when Sedo’s is running faster.
I just wanted to make you aware of the new feature Sedo is offering. If you get some price suggestions, let me know what you think of them. Accurate, close, not bad, way off etc.

I am listing a domain now and this pricing tool does not seem to be available under the “Pricing Options” section during the listing process.
That just does not make sense to me.
I selected one page of domains from my current listings at Sedo to get the “pricing options” and it doesn’t give any time you have to wait.
It just says “Pending Appraisal”.
This includes if the page is refreshed.
