Please see UPDATE below!

I think many domain name sellers feel that "Services" really do not go out of their way to help sell your domain name you list / offer with them! This includes many Live Auction services and general domain listing services.

Well, I just saw an ad for CyberFriday.com while using the search term cyber friday on Google.com and Sedo.com seems to be shaking things up a bit!

CyberFriday.com Adwords

CyberFriday.com is currently on auction at Sedo and Sedo is running Google Adwords to help promote the sale of the domain name OUTSIDE the domain industry!

UPDATE: Since I was not able to see WHO was running the ad, I talked with the domain owner and HE ran the ad.

It was wishful thinking that Sedo was actually running the ad. :)

As many domain owners know, interested parties in a specific domain name either visit the domain name directly to look for answers and or will "google" aka search for the term or domain on search engines.

Sedo is clearly doing there part to earn their 10% commission IMO and it is nice to see they are putting in an effort to gain more interested parties in the domain!

I didn’t look for other domains they may or may not be advertising, but I happened to see this one and it makes me happy to see them working for their customers!

CyberFriday.com is currently on auction at Sedo.com with a bid of $5,000 USD and the reserve is met. The auction ends 10-10-2009 at 3:55 PM EST. The seller had a nice description wrote up for interested parties to see as well on the Sedo page.

On CyberFriday.com is also a clear link that the domain name is currently on auction at Sedo, with a direct link to the auction page, which is also a very wise idea.

Congrats go out to Sedo.com for working for the customer and also to Steve, the owner of the domain for having the right things in place for other interested parties to see the domain is on auction!

If you’re in contact with the domain owner, you should do an interview with him about his success (or failure) in attracting interest to his auction using AdWords.

I wouldn’t expect CyberFriday.com to fetch $5,000, so I’m curious to hear how much AdWords helped his auction.
