As a seller I like afternic more. Their support is usually faster and more efficient.

I agree on the support thing! Sedo support is for the birds!

The demand for generic domains is not as robust as domainers captivated by the big sales on DNJournal would like to think. And when a business or web development shop decides to pursue a domain, they will either try to avoid the aftermarket or at negotiated very firmly. But I will agree, when I recently received a $200 offer for a two-word .COM domain with modest but consistent type-in traffic, I'm in rush to jump at such an offer. The buyers are thinking that I bought this for $10 but the reality is only a small percentage of domains sell. So when you make a sale, it needs to be a generous offer (within reason).

I can speak as a buyer:
I am constantly buying domains through SEDO.
At the inverse I do not remember the last time I purchased a name from Afternic.
When you place an offer +99% of times you will get an email saying the minimum bid is now few thousands dollars over your bid.
Hein!? And this is not an auction, nobody bided over you. It's only I guess their strange automated system.
BuyDomains.com like SEDO is a great place for buy names, I deal directly with Neil who take care of me, I am a very satisfied customer.
I think that BuyDomains.com is responsable of most of the Afternic DLS sales.

Francois, as a buyer, it would nice for a seller to hear how you "search" domains at Sedo. I think that might help out if you don't mind sharing. ;)
