		<description>While you are setting Google Alerts for your domains, also set them for topic specific news that pertains to your domain niches. For example, I am alerted to anything related to 3D gaming, 3D mobile,.... nanostructured devices, ceramic particles.  If I choose to be notified of everything 3D related or related to Nanotechnology, I would be overloaded with information so I try to be more targeted.</description>

In a similar way I also use the domaintools monitor to see who else is registering names either similar to mine or in the same industry - it gives great advance warning.</description>
