It was brought to my attention that SnapNames.com will be rolling out several new changes to it’s website today at about 4 PM PDT.
"Live Auctions" will be removed from the global navigation, and will instead promote upcoming live events on the home page.
The home page is getting a new look, and will now include dynamic content as well as the search box and Featured Domain Names.
The "Support" global navigation link will be replaced with a "Help" drop down which consolidates the most important customer service resources in one area. The old Support page can now be accessed by clicking "Getting Started" under the "Help" drop down.
SnapNames has tried to make linked domain names more readable by using a dashed,
instead of solid, underline on the search results page and Featured Domain Names on the home page.
The domain details pages now feature more transactional functionality. When you click on a domain name in search results, you’ll go to a page where you can see the current bid, time remaining, and number of bidders. You’ll also be able to enter your maximum bid and watch an auction from the domain details page.
You can now update the information on your Active Auctions page by clicking the "Refresh Page" link at the top and bottom of the page. Clicking on a domain name on your Active Auctions page will now take you to that name’s domain details page.
Lastly, SnapNames is excited to announce support for the new SnapNames Monthly
Domain Name Showcase Auctions, described at showcase.snapnames.com.
These Showcase Auctions use a new innovative display and bidding interface that includes both a starting minimum bid and either "no reserve" or a corresponding reserve price range.
Be sure to checkout SnapNames.com around 4 PM PDT to checkout all the new changes.
