I have seen this "new" tab for a bit on SnapNames.com but I have never clicked it. Auction Lists Well the tab is the old Download section, which got a facelift.
The tab includes some pretty cool info, as Snap breaks down the domains for you already. The download lists are broken up by:
- Exclusive Seller Domain Names
- Most Active Auctions
- Top Categories
- Geo Domains
- Exclusive expiring domains
- Deleting Domains (Pending Delete)
- Registrar Domains (broken down by registrar)
I downloaded the "Geo Domains" list, unzipped it and opened it with Excel. The colums are very helpful and include:
- Domain Name
- Current Bid
- Join By Date
- Amount of Bidders
- "Seller"
- TLD
- Length
- Words
- Word Count
- Categories
- Hyphens (Y/N)
- Numbers (Y/N)
- Auction Type (in auction/Available Soon)
You can then use the asending or desending feature in Excel to short by "bidders" or by "word count" to see 1 word domains first or two word domains etc. You can see exactly who the "seller" is, which is helpful in more ways then one. For one, if the domain is a partner domain, you know the domain will hold it’s age. Secondly, if you win the domain you will also know where the domain is registered unlike backordering pending delete domains. You can also search by TLD which is nice or by bid price!
Again, if you are a GEO buyer, this saves you a huge amount of time as all the GEO domains are already picked out for you and then you can search them as you wish with the ease Excel provides. You can also take the raw list and use DRT Software to gain even more data on the domains.
Each section is valuable in it’s own way, but the biggest thing is the Time Savings the broken down lists provide. Enjoy the time savings if you are a domain buyer at SnapNames.com!
