Snuggie for kids has been a big hit for Snuggie™ lovers around the world but when the snuggie for kids blanket with sleeves was first launched, it was called Snugglette™. Going away from the Snuggie brand name has proven not to be the best idea and brand managers have noticed this.

Now the brand name is simply Snuggie For Kids, which simply is a make sense brand name if you ask me.

Snugglette

Snuggie for kids is just what it says! It’s the popular Snuggie blanket with sleeves, just in a compact size made for kids! The popular kids fleece blanket is available in two popular colors of Pink and Blue.

The Snuggie has become a craze around the world with Snuggie parties, groups and much more and is a great gift idea of those kids that have everything!

Right now, you can get the Snuggie For Kids at a two for one special! Buy One, Get One Free! Plus you will get a matching pair of slipper socks! Who doesn’t love a deal like that! Two grand kids, two gifts in one purchase! Two kids that are hard to buy for, one purchase and both are happy!

Snuggie For Kids, Blanket With SleevesThe rebranding comes about 6 months after launching the Snugglette brand name that to me was hard to remember and even harder to spell. This lead internet users search with typo terms like snugglet, snuglet to name a few.

This leads into confused customers looking for their Snuggie For Kids Blanket!

Snuggie For Kids is a great idea and it also now has a brand name that simply makes sense to go along with the product!

Well they failed to capture Snuggie.com which has gotten over 4k hits since their re-brand.

The domain is actually for sale at Godaddy

    https://auctions.godaddy.com/trpItemListing.aspx?ci=6711&domain=snuggie.com

    Ouch!

I agree they missed the boat on that one and that’s for the main brand. Suggie For Kids was a rebrand of the Snugglette name itself.

    “…they failed to capture Snuggie.com…”

    Dan,

They couldn’t have “captured” Snuggie.com since it’s been regged since 2002.

They also do not own Snuggies.com. That’s used by a department store and has been regged since 1997.

They opted for GetSnuggie.com which was regged July 2008.

But they didn’t have the sense or foresight to protect their brand and also register GetSnuggies.com.

That was regged 3 months later Oversee.

They’d most likely lose it in a UDRP proceeding.

Dan if by “captured” you meant “acquire from the Registrant”, then pardon my comment.

The company may be too cheap to pony up the bucks.

By the way, anyone who buys Snuggie.com would be taking a risk.

In all likelihood, the original 2002 registration date would not apply to the new owner as evidenced by many UDRP decisions.
