Sedo produced two solid five figure domain name sales in StickyBoard.com for $30,000 USD and Pons.com for $25,000 USD. StickyBoard.com is still in the transfer process so the new owner is unknown right now but Pons.com was purchased by PONS GmbH of Germany.
PONS uses the domain name Pons.de and the recently purchased .com simply doesn’t resolve at time of posting. It appears that PONS offers dictionaries.
I’m sure StickyBoard.com could have plenty of uses but Google seems to like to return things related to "Mouse Traps" that are sticky.
A couple GEO+Keyword .com domain names sold, so it appears that a specific buyer is interested in those domains. Both related to office supply:
NewYorkOfficeSupplies.com $1,000
LasVegasOfficeSupply.com $1,750
WealthWire.com took home $2,500
SecondStreet.com $3,000
SF8.com $3,700
TCTR.com $3,000
ItsAnEmergency.com $2,000
AreaCodes.net $7,000
Domain sales for me personally have been pretty weak, so I am thinking about changing some things up a little bit with the vast majority of my domain names and what resolves on them. I just need to find a proper solution to do it in bulk, so the domains benefit in search engines from it. I will likely do a one page lander type thing but haven’t decided exactly what to have on the page. I just think it is very likely that an interested party will visit the domain directly to see if it is for sale and a way to contact you. I will let you know if or when I come up with something but I have to run into some funds first to allow me to work with a programmer on it.
It seems like a cold day in hell if I were to sell anything like these sales above lately
