I was checking out my most hated site
(sedo & Erich) and seen Sumo.com sold for $150,000. Not sure how to make money online with that one, but maybe selling tickets to Sumo Wrestling events? I have never been to a Sumo Wrestling event before nor have I searched for it on the net. It apears about 555 people daily search for it, so I wish the new owner the best.
America.com is at a SAD price of only $1,050,000 with 4 days and 15 hours to go. I’m sure this would be higher right now if Sedo didn’t put in the buyer qualification in place, but I do hope this sells as it would be great for the domain industry. Coffee.org is another to mention with a $100,000 bid. I would of jumped on that bid an not sent it to auction, so we will have to watch and see if that deal closes. Currently the auction has a little over 2 days left in auction with the reserve met.
I have not heard much of the Pizza.com sale, so I am thinking it did not happen. The domain did switch to privacy, but it still goes to the same site before the sale. I was happy to see all the news on the Pizza sale, but it wouldn’t be very good news if it hits the news again that the sale never happened. As we know, a sale is not a sale unless money has changed hands and the ownership changes.
A couple other four figure sales today as listed on www.NameBio.com were Devastate.com @ $3,789 on NameJet.com . IRB.net @ $1,500 also at NameJet.com . GamblingSystem.com $2K, GlobalGolfNetwork.com $2,500 Afternic.com (end user sale), IYYI.org $2,500 via Tdnam.com which I would have to say it showed Traffic. It does show an Alexa rank of 1,502,798 with most of the traffic coming from the county Turkey. According to MarketLeap.com the domain only has 89 links, so I do not know why this went so high!

I’m the seller of Coffee.org. I researched the buyer who contacted me directly and he is qualified so I sent it to auction. Too bad Monday is a holiday.

Great domain Thomas! I personally would of just accepted the offer and not “upset” the buyer with the auction but I hope the deal closes. It will be great for the coffee market, as well as the .org market!

I really looking forward to see this sale completed.
It will be the top .ORG sale for 2008 … right?

Whois changed on 5-24-2008 to the new owner. The last old record of the last owner was 5-16-2008. Hope this helps.
