Well, the day has been coming and it’s the eve of the operation. I will be MIA for at least a couple days this first round. This will happen 3 times in the month of April, so I am not very excited about it.

I will be having some major dental work done starting tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM and the first procedure is expected to last about 6 hours. After healing up for two weeks, then I will follow up with another 6 solid hours in the chair again. Then on the 24th, it’s off to another dentist to have a sist removed by a wisdom tooth as well as the extraction of that wisdom tooth.

I have always had really soft teeth and was prone to cavities no matter what I did. It has got to the point that I am in need of 5 Crowns and having several other old fillings in teeth drilled out to remove the "silver fillings" because over time they end up cracking your teeth. So several stress cracks will be fixed while removing the old silver filling and refilled in with the new white fillings.

Besides the hours in the chair and the discomfort to go with it all, the $10K + dental bill is all coming out of my pocket! Then another round to the wisdom tooth doctor. Ouch… No dental insurance, so not much I can do about it.

Depending on how I feel, I will be back to work as soon as I can and blogging as well.

Talk to you all soon,

Jamie

With the price of silver these days ask your dentist to keep it for you so you can buy a few domains post surgery!

Ouch, $10,000? Actually, thats not too bad. I just went last week for a high tech x-ray and found out I need a root canal plus one crown for that tooth. The price, $2,894.00 with no dental insurance. Told the doc I’d be back in a few months when my insurance kicks in. Good luck and yes, mucho laughing gas please (:

Best of luck with the recovery, both physically and monetarily!

aside: just noticed that your PHP is messed up when generating the “TOP domains for sale” list on the right… you’ve got ‘<? echo’ and it should be ‘<?php echo’

    :)

Thank you for the heads up on the PHP. I am having a programmer make that look better, so I am just waiting on them. :)

I had six teeth removed recently and 5 sists. Total cost over 6k which I had to borrow from my fiance. And this is not including a crown and another 12 fillings which need to be taken care of eventually and would cost me another extra 3-4k. I wish you the best of luck at the dentist. Get well soon.
