Many people will settle for common tools that are available to search domain names like PendingDelete lists or using tools at NameJet.com or SnapNames.com. Why do what everybody else does? Try using a DNS search tool like DNSLocator.com .
Many may be aware of the DNS search tool offered by DomainTools.com but not all of us can afford the Large Amount of cash it costs Per Search to see the results. It’s expensive!
A better solution at a Much Lower cost is DnsLocator.com which is owned and operated by the owner of JustDropped.com . The cost at DnsLocator.com is either a Per Search base, Per Month or Per Year. I suggest the Per Month which is only $19.99 or the yearly rate at $175. You can see DnsLocator.com rates here.
So why is searching by DNS "better" or "different" from other search tools? That answer can be left up to you but the more you understand or know what certain DNS’ companies use, you will find it valuable.
Let’s consider expired domain names at the registrar NetworkSolutions.com . When a domain name reaches expired status, the DNS changes to ns1.pendingrenewaldeletion.com and ns2.pendingrenewaldeletion.com.
Now using DnsLocator.com you simply enter in ns1.pendingrenewaldeletion.com (it’s best if you use ns1. instead of just using pendingrenewaldeletion.com because you will have double domains without ns1. included) and do a search as you wish. You can get the whole list or use the tools provided to select which domains to see. Once you order the report, it takes about 5 minutes or less for it to complete and show up in your account. You can see the list in excel, wordpad etc and do as you wish with the list once in your account.
If you run the same report the next day, you can use the tools provided in your account and Compare the two lists which is a nice little tool. This will show New domains added and domains Removed from the DNS.
DnsLocator.com updates once per day. After you create an account, the "Log In" page is kind of hard to find, but it’s http://www.dnslocator.com/login/
The search features are just enough to find what you want to see and looks like this:

Doing a search will show you 5 domains. If there are only 5 domains on that DNS, you can see them from Free
. Most DNS have a good deal of domains on them. Now if a DNS like Godaddy.com’s DomainControl.net, which has Millions of domains, the tool doesn’t work. GD’s servers are about the only ones I have seen with so many domains on that it doesn’t work.
I suggest you get to know some important Domain Name Servers before you sign up, so you know what you want to search. Maybe you want to see domains sitting on NSI standard park page like ns1.worldnic.com or find expired domains for Register.com like ns1.expireddomains.register.com or Tucows.com expired DNS ns1.renewyourname.net
Think outside the box and have fun finding some domains using this great DNS tool!
