The 3 letter domain name UBP.com has sold at the domain name brokerage service Sedo.com for $70,000 USD. Although it is not the $365K that CGM.com received that I reported last week, $70K is a nice sales price on a 3 letter acronym domain name.
According to current whois records, the new owners are RDLUX SA. Visiting UBP.com displays "Vanksen" who is a communications group. BGS Infosystems was the past owner of the domain name.
Another nice sale over at Sedo included a generic .net domain name Investments.net which grabbed $25,250 USD. You may remember I covered the domain name Investme.net which had a $4,200 EUR bid as well at Sedo but I have yet to see that one reported, which tells me the domain has yet to be paid for.
Bahamas.tv found at new owner at $10,000 USD
CarPooling.co.uk zipped $15,000 EUR
Cines.com banked $18,500 EUR
Anim.al hacked up $2,500 USD
Our friends over at TheDomains.com brought in $5,000 for LatinGirlfriends.com . If I recall correctly, this domain sold a fair amount of time ago and appears to finally be finishing up.
RetirementPlanning.net $7,500
Telephone.net $8,422 (seems to be a pretty fair price on this generic)
There were plenty more sales that ranged from a couple hundred to several thousand as well, but we all like looking at the Big Ones, so I tried to cover at least those. Congrats to all buyers and sellers of these domain names!
