His commercials are always on CNN - it's the most BORING commercial in the world.

Whoever does his advertising has no creative skills. I means why does he face the camera so stiffly from a profile angle. Patrick Cox looks awfully dumb on TV.

Yup,...agree.

Sometimes, short names are bad, better just get a descriptive name.

" A business w/o a sign is a sign of no business"

Saw that posting on a sign board.

Yes, while on the elliptical machine at the gym last week I saw one of those TXMSTR ads and mentioned to my wife how that name could be improved upon. There are numerous small businesses and many want a basic website even if they don't necessarily do ecommerce. Often these businesses will register anything they can think of which is available. Those of us immersed in domains do notice the domains of businesses we see advertised at the movie theater, on billboards, etc. I have seen dentists and real estate brokers use .US while I once saw a scrap service with a horrible .COM domain I cannot recall but I noticed that the .NET domain for the sector they operated in was available. I thought about it but didn't register it. But when you see a business with an awful domain, that could be an opportunity, right?

**Jamie Says**
"that could be an opportunity, right?"
For Sure but you better do some heavy educating in the sales process as well. Most of the people in these businesses have such hard heads, it's nearly impossible to get your point across. Once they do "get it", they will also be likely to be the first one to Low Ball you. lol
----
One of my goals is to write something for the people who "Don't get it". The problem, it has to be Short and Sweet and there is so much that needs to be learned. In the end, my point that I have to get across.... Do what makes sense! Then putting a "price" on that making sense part, so it REALLY makes sense. Then they become Buyers!

Yup, me too. My wife and I always try and pronounce it - "Tecks Mestr." Hell, even that would be better. BTW, I think I saw TaxMasters.com for sale on DNF a couple weeks back - I thought of Mr Patrick Cox and his need for this domain. Maybe he can WIPO it. Everyone else does.
