I haven’t checked the list of the ICE Seized Domain list for a little while, since I wasn’t around a computer much in the month of December but today when I checked it… it was interesting to see a couple domains added to it with ccTLD domains of Ukraine and Saint Helena!

Until now, the TLD’s that were listed were .com, .net and .us. The .us (Suprbay.us) domain has since been removed.

Onsma.sh was added to the seizedserevers.com list. The .sh ccTLD is for the country of Saint Helena, which is an overseas territory of Great Britain. OnSmash.com was on the original list of seized domain names that I posted here, so I’m not sure if they relaunched on that domain hack or not.

Sito.com.ua is the other new ccTLD domain. .au is the ccTLD of Ukraine

From what I can tell, the .sh registry is located outside the U.S. but does have data centers inside the U.S. in Seattle and San Francisco. The .sh headquarters is located in Christchurch, England according to Nic.sh .

The postal address for the .ua registry is located outside the U.S. from what I can tell and displays a Ukraine address according to the Nic.Net.ua registry site.

Until now, all seized domain names were held by U.S. based registries from what I can tell and from my understanding, that is how the domains became "seized". The registry would change DNS (domain name servers). Verisign, which is located in the U.S. controls the .com and .net domains. Neustar is the .us domain registry, also located in the U.S.

The above list of domain names is in no way official. The information was obtained based on dns information and the domains currently using the ns1.seizedservers.com and ns2.seizedservers.com name servers.
