Woot happens to be a newer service that provides "One Day, One Deal" on different products daily and Woot.com is creating a pretty big buzz in the process! Woot states they offer "cool stuff, cheap"!
Several Woot Trackers are also in the mix like Wootalyzer.com and Woot Tracker. Wootalyzer is a freedownload that allows you to track the deals on Woot.com, but why not just visit Woot.com or use the RSS feed http://www.woot.com/blog/rss.aspx it makes more sense to me.
Woot.com is taking the Bido.com approach and offering One Product per day (no auction) but it’s similar to Bido’s format.
Woot also offers a blog and community section for it’s customers which get’s used a lot and keeps customers coming back.
Woot.com had revenue of $117.4 Million in 2007 with 100 employees.
Another thing I like, they create some funny things like Bag O’ Crap, which is $1 type items but may also include more expensive items like flat screen tv’s etc. (it’s all about moving products) 2-for-Tuesday’s Woot has offered two-packs of products every Tuesday. Woot has also used this day to offer quantities greater than a 2-pack, such as 3-for-Tu3sday, 4-for-Fuesday, 5-for-Tue5day, or 10X-Tuesday. Get creative! In the end, it’s all about selling products and that’s what Woot.com is really doing.. but they are being Leaders and thinking outside the box in doing it. Learn from the leaders but come up with your own creative ideas!
