Yogi Bear® is coming to movie theaters December 17, 2010 and Warner Brothers® has used the exact match domain name YogiBear.com in TV commercials and the official trailers to help promote the upcoming movie. This is a nice change from many domain names used for movies as many of us have seen.
The average movie will often include a hyphen or two! Often times a very long domain name that is hard to remember or even a .net! I have even seen hyphens used in odd place in movie related domains like MoveMove-Movie.com, when move, move are two words and should be seperated. That never made sense to me.
Interestingly enough, Warner Brothers doesn’t have a stand alone website built on the domain name and they simply use YogiBear.com to forward traffic to a sub-domain on their main website. YogiBear.com forwards (redirects) to http://yogibear.warnerbros.com/#/splash

Congrats go out to Warner Brothers on using a great domain name for promoting the Yogi Bear movie!
YogiBear.com was registered on August 11, 1997. Yogi made his debut in 1958 and by 1961 had his own show. It was announced in 2008 by Warner Brothers that they would do the Life’s a pic-a-nic Yogie Bear movie according to Wikipedia Yogi Bear page.
