A catchy, prounceable three letter .com is leading the way today at Sedo with reported domain name sale of Zum.com grabbing $28,000 USD. According to DomainTools.com sales history, Zum.com has been sold several times recently

The only one I could confirm is the Oct 25, 2010 "sale" as whois changed after 10/31 and this recent $28K sale likely did take place as well and appears to have happened about 3/16.
SharkCapital.com chewed up $14,000 which appears to have been purchased by Falk Ventures GmbH. I enjoy the TV show "Shark Tank", which just started its second season and that is "shark capital" in my book.

Zoom.com sold for $350K, Zip.com for $1M. The first thing you think about Zum is that it is a misspelling of Zoom. Still a very good price for a buyer.

Jon, I admit I did noot linked it with zoom. It simply short, catchy, sounds well in French and English and could definitively be the brand name of anything, something one can easily spell and remember, for me a domain that may have sold at few hundred of thousands dollars. But everybody is not in situation to pay tyhat amount nor any seller to can wait such sale.
